ABOUT NORWOOD

Norwood Pearson is a guitarist based in Greater Boston. Both Jazziz and DownBeat magazines have praised his versatile style and intricate fingerwork, describing him as an “exceptionally talented guitarist.” His extensive performance credits include The Platters, Peaches & Herb, Wayne Newton, The Drifters, The Coasters, Dolores “La La” Brooks, Dennis Edwards’ Temptations Review, Jeff Lorber, Norman Brown, Ron Bosse, Jimmy Haslip, Lil John Roberts, Paul Brown, and Brian Bromberg, as well as groups like the Boston Children’s Chorus, The Millenium Gospel Choir, The Beast of Nod, and The Eugeneration Project. Other notable credits include opening for Chubby Checker and 1974 AD, and performing for Jackie Chan. Pearson has performed for audiences internationally in Hong Kong, Brazil, Canada, India, and Nepal. His career has taken him to large and iconic venues worldwide, including the Mohegan Sun Arena, the Rainbow Room in NYC, The Blues Alley, The Tin Pan, HSBC Brasil, Vivo Rio, and The Bangalore Conservatory.
